DMO-Turkish Cyber Security Cluster Cooperation Meeting

A major step has been taken in the cooperation between our General Directorate and Turkish Cyber Security Cluster of the Presidency of Defence Industries.

The first of the meetings, hosted by Technopark Ankara, was made with the participation of Mr. Mücahit CİVRİZ, our General Director, our senior executives, representatives of Turkish Cyber Security Cluster and many technology entrepreneurs on September 28, 2018.

In his opening speech, Mr. Oğuz ÜNAL, General Director of Technopark Ankara stated that they were honoured to be hosting the first meeting of this important cooperation for our country and as Technopark Ankara they would always continue to side with the studies adding value to our country.

Mr. Mustafa ÖZÇELİK, Head of IT Group of Turkish Cyber Security Cluster, representing the Presidency of Defence Industries emphasized that the development and use of domestic national solutions in cyber security is vital and set forth that they they want to support the branding of entrepreneurs who produce cyber security by making them reach national and international market, they take a great step in reaching national market through Techno Catalogue and want to strengthen and maintain their strategic cooperation with our General Directorate with new models.

Mr. Mücahit CİVRİZ, our General Director stated that in order to provide innovation and development in our country, it should be given importance to the development of technology. He emphasized that with the transition movement started within this context we will be a partner in the development story of our country by taking this great mission.

In the meeting, the business model of Techno Catalogue and the value suggestions that our entrepreneurs bring to the processes of commercialization and branding was explained.

Through this cooperation made with Turkish Cyber Security Cluster;

  • Development and use of domestic-national cyber security products in all areas,
  • Realization of awareness activities in public institutions,
  • Development of “Smart Procurement Models” to enable domestic-national products to be preferred by the public,
  • Reduction of foreign dependency in cyber security,
  • Having international cyber security brands

are aimed at.

The second of the cooperation meetings will be hosted by the Presidency of Defence Industries in Istanbul in October.
