“Information Panel and Cooperation Protocol Signing Ceremony” organized by the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD), Corporate Relations Commission and Information Sector Board was held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 with the participation of Mr. Mücahit CİVRİZ, the Chairman of the Board and General Director of DMO, Abdurrahman KAAN, President of MUSİAD, Kerim ALINTAŞ, Deputy Secretary General of Corporate Cooperation and MÜSİAD members.

In his speech, Abdurrahman KAAN, President of MUSİAD, stated that “Recent developments occurring in the field of economy and politics in the world led to a great awareness in Turkey. Political-based economic policies in the purpose of putting the Turkey in a lurch, triggered the awarance.  The concept of 'domestic and national', which always in our agenda in the recent years,  is now beyond the agenda. This is a an important struggle for us, especially for the President of Turkey and our people from all walks of life. Today, we come together to make another contribution to this struggle. The protocol, which will be signed with the State Supply Office, aims to ensure the participation of more domestic and national firms to tenders. The existence of a proper competition environment in public procurement is very important in terms of achieving an effective outcome of the tenders especially in the development processes of our domestic companies.”

Mr. Mücahit CİVRİZ, underlined that DMO is an institution that can make an important contribution to the commercial life and the development of Turkey. Also he said that “We launched a transformation movement in DMO. We wanted DMO to be the reflection of the motto “Let's be the architect of change together” in real life.  The protocol to be signed today will be an important instrument  in our story of being the architect of change.”

The protocol includes electronically sharing data to be published on the MÜSİAD website, in the aim of increasing the number of domestic companies to participate in tenders  made by DMO and to establish an effective competitive environment in public procurement.
