A Strong Start to 2025 with the Event “Innovative Transformation from Tradition to the Future”
DMO Directorate General organized an important event on 26–27 February 2025 under the motto “Innovative Transformation from Tradition to the Future” in order to evaluate the year 2024 and take a strong step into 2025 with a powerful vision. In this strategic meeting, which strengthened internal cooperation and provided direction for the future, critical topics were discussed within the framework of an innovative transformation vision.
The event began with the opening speech of DMO Director General Mr. Şinasi CANDAN and was attended by DMO Board Members, Deputy Director Generals, Department Heads, Regional/Contact Office Directors, and all managers serving in the central and provincial organization of DMO.
DMO Director General, in his speech emphasizing the importance of interaction with the customers and suppliers through innovative transformation, provided direction to the event. After a comprehensive evaluation of DMO’s 2024 activities and the performance of the sales units, information was shared on the current status of ongoing projects within DMO.
One of the noteworthy parts of the event was the presentation by Mr. Murat ÖZPALA, Turkey’s first experimental test pilot and test pilot of Hürkuş. Sharing his unique experiences from his career, Mr. ÖZPALA delivered an impressive presentation that offered inspiration to all participants.
Following this, the Regional and Contact Office Directors shared information about the activities in their respective hinterlands and offered suggestions regarding the new period. In the afternoon session, detailed presentations were delivered on the Healthcare Products Market and Fuel Procurement (KamuTOS) processes. At the end of the day, plaques were presented to the esteemed colleagues of DMO who retired in the past year, reinforcing the spirit of gratitude and institutional loyalty.
On 27 February, during the second session, evaluations were made regarding the enhancement of the effectiveness of DMO Directorate General through the presentations of the relevant Department Heads. One of the dynamic parts of the event was the interactive question-and-answer session with the participation of the senior management. In this session, especially the field experiences and the challenges encountered by DMO’s provincial organization were discussed, and mutual ideas were exchanged.
With broad participation from both the central and provincial organization, the event contributed significantly to strengthening internal interaction, institutional belonging, and the spirit of cooperation. The event was successfully concluded with the closing speech of DMO Director General, who emphasized the vision of a more innovative, stronger, and better-known DMO, followed by a group photo session.
This important event has served as a strong indication that DMO will continue to take determined steps toward the future.
